The restaurant
Philippe Gelfi, a native of Avignon, won a Michelin star in 2025 with the restaurant Grenache, in Pátio de Dom Fradique. In April 2026 he opened Grenache The Bistro, on Rua Angelina Vidal, in Anjos: a venture that returns to the chef's roots, inspired by the classics of French cooking.
The bistro menu is short and simple — comforting dishes and familiar flavours, with room to experiment and explore new paths without losing the essence of traditional French cooking.
With an intimate atmosphere, low lights and lit candles, it is the right place for a relaxed dinner. The wine list brings together more than 500 labels, from great houses to small independent vignerons, with a focus on France and Portugal, while also exploring other parts of the world.
