The restaurant
A family restaurant in Príncipe Real, Boubou's was for years the home of chef Louise Bourrat, winner of Top Chef France in 2022. In 2026 it returned to its roots as a French bistro: more informal, accessible and lively, designed as much for dinner for two as for a night out with friends.
The kitchen works French classics with a focus on produce and seasonality, and the dining room, run by Alexis Bourrat, aims to keep the soul of the place and the spirit of «joie de vivre». The space has a pergola, lots of plants and bistro chairs.
For Chefs Week, Boubou's offers a menu of couvert, starter, main course and dessert, served at dinner only, with an optional pairing of Portuguese wines by the glass.

André Lança Cordeiro
Chef and owner of Essencial, in Bairro Alto, he works Portuguese produce with a strong French influence. He took over the kitchen at Boubou's in April 2026, at the invitation of Alexis Bourrat, while keeping Essencial.
